All day long, Papi…..that is what I think and where I am putting my money with the Rangers at home for this game because for me to think any other way, is insane.
Tampa has shown some offensive teeth and grit while at home but playing at the Garden? Check the AWAY record for the Bolts; 18-16-7…….just a tad over .500.
For a team that has the offensive weapons like they do, that record is really poor and I honestly don’t think it will cut the mustard here against a team that has killed great teams at home.
The Boys in Blue are looking to bring some real hometown heat in front of their high paying fans for this game and the arena will be electric and loud this coming night.
Nash and company are also finally showing production and although I don’t know where he was earlier; better late than never Batman, because Lundqvist appears to have shaken off his funk and he will need help.
This game/series is going to come down to some really good goaltending as we know each team CAN score but WILL they score? Bishop versus Lundqvist? Plead no contest.
Let’s do the math: Bolts have depth and lines for sure but Rangers are no slouch either which is why they took the President’s Trophy. If you had to put stock in which goalie will shine here, you better hope blue is your color.
When the chips are down you have to lay your money out there on the team with the better goalie. This isn’t rocket science so keep it simple because with Bishop it’s really a crap shoot.
I don’t care for those odds so I will go with the more solid bet in King Henrik because his play this season has been top notch with really, only Price being heads and shoulders better.
Tap the rods in the roof, Lightning gets bottled and Boys in Blue come through.
